Why am I doing this?

Hi everyone.

Cancer Research UK tells me to write why I am doing this... so...

my mom, of course, who is a 2 time cancer survivor. The first time I was too young to even register what it was, the second time I was there when the doctor called - and I will never forget that moment... my best friend Kat whose 24 year old husband got cancer... my other best friend's mother who had terminal cancer leaving a very bereft family behind... my father in law who also had terminal cancer... my friend's husband with terminal bone cancer... for my brother in law, cancer survivor....

please support the scientists who are working so hard to cure this disease...

And anyone who wants to add their story, please do so!

  1. Wow ... that's an incredible list. Since starting the 365challenge, I've "met" so many people with so many stories that just make you stop in your tracks. These people are the reasons for the 365challenge.

But it's the stories of survival that give more and more people hope and drive me/us on to support Cancer Research UK, because their efforts will meant that there will be MORE survivors.

I know you're efforts will make a huge difference, Sharon, and your reasons will help you through this tough year of physical challenges. All the best.
